![]() ![]() I really liked how Rain decided to deal with the ghost situation. I'm glad I pushed through because I absolutely loved the last third of the book or so. ![]() Mainly because I found the ghosts extremely annoying, I hated that Rain had no control over them, and on top of that the case seemed to be going nowhere. This ended up being so much better than I thought it would be while going through the first half of the book. But he's starting to realize his problems are just getting started. Rain thought accepting his supernatural gifts would be the solution to his troubles. ![]() ![]() But Rain can't help but wonder how long that patience will last.and what he'll do if Danny decides the intrusive ghosts are just too much. It certainly seems like Daniel McKenna, his partner in work and life, is in it for the long haul. To complicate matters, he's not sure what these spooktacular developments mean for his relationship. So are the ghosts, who are becoming increasingly impatient. There's no instruction manual for meshing his work with his medium duties, and he's painfully aware that he's flubbing the job. He's determined to accept all the changes in his formerly well-ordered life, but that means embracing a whole lot of weird. Rain Christiansen, former FBI agent and current cold case detective, is starting to think it's the hardest job he's ever had-and the most important. No one said being a medium would be easy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() While some of their backstories from classic mythology come through in the story, you don’t need to know anything about them because Robert has created a whole new world for these beloved characters to play in.Ī role has come open in the Thirteen, the ruling body of Olympus, and a great competition will determine who takes the role. The third book in Robert’s bestselling Dark Olympus Series is the modern retelling of a classic Greek myth about Helen of Troy, Achilles and Patroclus. What can I say? I’m hooked, completely and irrevocably hooked. I love when I don’t know what to expect, and I’d never read one of Katee Robert’s books, so this whole experience has been utterly amazing. I’ve never been one to use the expression “wicked awesome” but when it comes to Wicked Beauty by Katee Robert, there’s no better way to describe it. ![]() |
